The beginning of the PD&E Study (start of the engineering study to expand I-75) has a “kickoff” meeting for:

3-5 pm for the gov’t. agencies and 6-8 pm for the public (us)

THIS IS OUR CHANCE TO LEARN ABOUT THE PROJECT, START OUR NEGOTIATIONS & PUBLIC INPUT FOR A SOUND ABATEMENT (SOUNDWALLS) SYSTEM FOR OUR AREA.
The fact is the FDOT has not guaranteed sound walls will be built as this study will determine the need for walls. In addition, when they will be built during the process will also depend on this study – we still need to keep involved and informed.
This PD&E study is the first step, which will take three + years. We do not anticipate the I-75 construction to begin sooner than ten years from today. This PD&E study will include the determination IF sound walls are justified.
